Concrete Preservation Institute and their Mission

Scott Lupini is a member of the SWRI (The Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute) Board and met with them last week at a conference in California. He learned of The Concrete Preservation Institute and felt compelled to share their mission. CPI is a nationwide non-profit foundation serving as an official U.S. military active duty Career Skills Program. They partner with the National Park Service and various concrete and construction companies to provide comprehensive, firsthand training in various construction industries through completion of delayed maintenance projects in National Parks. He toured the abandoned prison on Alcatraz Island outside of San Francisco, where CPI was working with the National Park service to rehabilitate the deteriorated facilities on the island through their program. Not only does this restore pieces of our nations history, but provides marketable skills and lucrative job opportunities for active duty military personnel. Feel free to read about their program below.
