Lupini Construction, Inc. Hosts their 2018 Technical & Safety Meeting

Lupini Construction hosted their annual Technical and Safety Meetings on February 1st and 2nd, 2018, to continue education for their skilled craftsmen in various aspects of the masonry trade.
On February 1st, the 12th annual Technical Meeting featured presentations by Mark Thaler of Lacey Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture & Preservation, Otto Schwartz from Ryan Biggs Clark Davis Engineering & Surveying, Tim Gillespie from Sika, Graeme Jones of C-Probe and Lupini's own Loren Lenaghen and Don Reichert.

Mark Thaler discussed projects he performed and the expectations of a proper restoration project.
Otto Schwartz talked about what to look for in a successful concrete repair job.
Tim Gillespie presented some of Sika's products and how they are used to inhibit corrosion.

Graeme Jones presented C-Probe's cathodic protection for concrete and historic structures
Loren Lenaghen and Don Reichert presented a project profile on Lupini's large restoration project on the State Tower Building in Syracuse, NY.
February 2nd saw Lupini Construction's 29th annual Safety Meeting.

The Safety Meeting is used to discuss updated Lupini Construction safety policies and refresh the men on other aspects of industry-specific safety.
Among the topics were reviewing proper use of outrigger beams, discussing the new silica standard and Lupini's new company policies regarding it and OSHA's Focus 4 program.
